Fly Tyers

I’m 46 years old, and work as a carpenter.
I live alone with my daughter who is 16.

I’ve been tying flies since the summer 2017 and started fly fishing in 2014. Brown trout is my favorite target but I don’t mind grayling. Unfortunately I live where there’s no water with wild trout and grayling, so every summer I go up north for a couple of weeks to enjoying clear water and selective trout.

I fish dries 99% of the time.
I prefer to tie dries as well but enjoy tying everything, trying to learn new techniques and become a better fly tier and fly fisher. Sometimes I like to tying semi-realistic fly’s, often different stages of caddis pupa’s, but I rarely use them for fishing.

I’m not the kind of person who sit and make dozens of each fly, I rarely know before I start each fly what to tie, many flies “just happen”.
