Fly Tyers
- at the fly tyers island and at the exhibitors
Bjarne Laursen
Fishing enthusiast and fly geek, the advantage of tying your own flies is that you can get the characteristics you want in the fly, so why not take advantage of it. I have been tying flies since the mid-90s, like to tie all kinds of flies from dry flies and nymphs to classic salmon flies, but my primary tying are flies for the salmon in Skjern Å, where the vast majority of my fishing takes place.
At the fair, I will focus on the flies I myself use in my hunt for salmon in West Jutland. My flies are a mixture of a lot of different inspiration, from all over the world. Everything mixed together so I feel I have flies for all the conditions and situations I come across during the season. There will be large flies for spring and cold water, and small light flies for shallow summer water.
Flies are best learned by the vise over a chat, so I look forward to talking to you in Kolding.
