Danish Fly Festival history:
Federation of flyfishers Denmark has since 1993 held The Danish Fly Festival every two years. The festival attracts each time between 2,500 and 3,000 visitors. The Danish Flyfestival is the meeting place for passionate fly fisherman, from beginners to seasoned, from the young to the elderly.
The festival is held in the KFUM Hallerne in Kolding, where during opening hours it is possible to buy both food and drinks in several places in the area. In the indoor casting pool there is all day demonstration of casting, where 12 Danish and foreign casting instructors are teacing their expertise. On fly tying island you can experience 40 fly tiers from home and abroad, each of which has some of the best in the world. Here is a unique opportunity to meet some of the best fly-casters and fly tiers, and ask them questions or ask for advice.
In lecture halls you can be part of 22 different lectures on fly fishing in both Denmark and abroad.
In the halls you can discover over 40 different stands, where shops, manufacturers and importers from home and abroad show their goods. At The Danish Fly Festival you have the opportunity to try rods, lines and wheels at our 6 outdoor casting pools, along with the talented instructors. The Danish Fly Festival is a cornucopia of inspiration and experiences for all fly fishermen.
